Funding

Like State and Territory governments around Australia, through the ACT NRM Council, the ACT Government and Commonwealth have established a partnership to work towards achieving tangible, measurable, positive changes in the condition of natural resources and to enhance the capacity of the ACT community to address natural resource issues. Up until June 2008, the main sources of funding for this work came from the ACT Government and from the Commonwealth’s Natural Heritage Trust and National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality as well as from our project partners. From July 2008, ACT Government funding is complemented by funding from the Commonwealth Government’s new Caring for our Country program.
