Molonglo CCG

The catchment is largely in NSW and covers the catchments of the Molonglo and Queanbeyan Rivers, Jerrabomberra Creek and the urban areas of inner Canberra and Queanbeyan.

Priorities for the Molongo Catchment Group include:

river restoration - providing subsidies to landholders for on-ground riparian revegetation
community education - targeting weeds and feral animals
mapping the lower Molonglo - developing knowledge and skills and using on-ground data collection combined with computer-generated maps to foster environmental stewardship
the Kosciuszko to Coast community partnership.

Council Communiqué

After each meeting the Council reports to the ACT community on its activities and deliberations. From its most recent meeting:

Launch of the ACT Natural Resource Management Plan by Simon Corbell MLA, Minister for the Environment

Consideration of mechanisms for increasing investment in natural resource management in the Territory

Review of 2009 achievements, including:
- hosting of the Inaugural Knowledge Roundtable;
- Programs and workshops with the Indigenous community;
- Ongoing dialogue with key Government and community partners; and
- Implementation of a project reporting data base.

Ginninderra Catchment Group

The Ginninderra Catchment Group works in the urban areas of Belconnen, West Belconnen, Hall, Gunghalin, and the rural areas and nature reserves of the Ginninderra Creek catchment.

Southern ACT Catchment Group

The Southern ACT Catchment Group operates in the southern areas of the ACT covering Woden, Weston Creek, Tuggeranong, Tharwa, Tidbinbilla and Namadgi national parks, and the rural leases.
