Molonglo Catchment Group

The catchment is largely in NSW and covers the catchments of the Molonglo and Queanbeyan Rivers, Jerrabomberra Creek and the urban areas of inner Canberra and Queanbeyan. Priorities for the Molongo Catchment Group include:

  • river restoration - providing subsidies to landholders for on-ground riparian revegetation

  • community education - targeting weeds and feral animals

  • mapping the lower Molonglo - developing knowledge and skills and using on-ground data collection combined with computer-generated maps to foster environmental stewardship

  • the Kosciuszko to Coast community partnership.
