ACT Land Keepers

The ACT Land Keepers project is a recent winner of the Banksia Awards.

ACT Land Keepers is funded by the ACT and Australian Governments and delivered by Greening Australian Capital Region.

The Project is delivered through 6 sub-projects:

Biodiversity Incentives - working with landholders to achieve on-ground conservation work on rural and non-urban land;
Greening Industry - working with agricultural and horticultural enterprises to improve environmental outcomes on local grape, olive, lavender and other horticultural farms;

After each meeting the Council reports to the ACT community on its activities and deliberations.

Molonglo Catchment Group

The Molonglo Catchment Group works largely in NSW and covers the catchments of the Molonglo and Queanbeyan Rivers, Jerrabomberra Creek and the urban areas of inner Canberra and Queanbeyan.

Ginninderra Catchment Group

The Ginninderra Catchment Group works in the urban areas of Belconnen, West Belconnen, Hall, Gunghalin, and the rural areas and nature reserves of the Ginninderra Creek catchment.

Southern ACT Catchment Group

The Southern ACT Catchment Group operates in the southern areas of the ACT covering Woden, Weston Creek, Tuggeranong, Tharwa, Tidbinbilla and Namadgi national parks, and the rural leases.
